Raising Faith, Growing Grace
At Grace United Methodist Church, we believe that children and youth are not just the future of the church — they are a vital part of the church right now. We take seriously Jesus’ words, “Let the little children come to me,” and we strive to create a place where young hearts can know they are loved by God and by their church family.
Children’s Ministry
Our children’s ministry helps kids discover faith through stories, laughter, and hands-on learning. During Sunday School and children’s time in worship, kids learn about God’s love in ways that are simple, joyful, and easy to understand. Lessons often include Bible stories, crafts, songs, and conversations that help them see how faith connects to their everyday lives. We believe that children learn best by being part of the worshipping community. That’s why they’re included in worship — lighting candles, helping with offerings, or sharing in prayers.
Sunday School Children’s Sunday School begins at 10 :00 a.m. every Sunday morning. Dedicated teachers guide children through the stories of Scripture, teaching them about God’s love, grace, and forgiveness. Every lesson aims to help children see themselves as part of God’s big story and to know that they are precious in His sight.
Children in Worship We love having children in worship! Wiggles, whispers, and wide-eyed curiosity are all welcome here. Each week, Pastor Cheryl shares a short children’s message during the service that connects to the sermon theme. These moments remind all of us — young and old alike — that faith is something we grow into together.
Youth Ministry Our youth ministry encourages middle and high school students to explore their faith, build friendships, and serve others. Through Bible study, fellowship, and mission opportunities, youth are invited to ask honest questions and discover how following Jesus makes a difference in their lives and in the world. We want our youth to know they have a voice, a purpose, and a place to belong. Whether it’s helping lead worship, volunteering at a community event, or participating in service projects, they are active participants in the life of the church.
Special Events & Activities Throughout the year, we host events that bring faith and fun together — from Vacation Bible School and children’s Christmas programs to youth service days and community festivals. These times build memories, friendships, and faith that lasts a lifetime.
Safe Sanctuary Commitment Grace UMC is a Safe Sanctuary congregation. That means we are committed to providing a safe, loving environment for all children and youth. All volunteers working with minors are trained and background-checked according to our Safe Sanctuary policy, ensuring every child is protected and valued.
