Making a Joyful Noise to the Lord At Grace United Methodist Church, music isn’t just something we listen to — it’s something we offer. Our music ministry helps lead the congregation into the presence of God each week, lifting hearts and voices in worship. Through hymns, anthems, and special music, we seek to glorify God, encourage one another, and express the joy of our faith.
Led by Debbie Hamrick, our choir brings both skill and spirit to worship each Sunday. The choir’s anthem is often one of the most moving moments in our service — a time when Scripture and melody meet to remind us of God’s goodness and grace. The choir welcomes anyone who loves to sing, no matter your level of experience. If you can carry a tune and have a heart for worship, there’s a place for you in the choir loft.
Our music ministry is blessed by Lora Green, our gifted pianist, who fills our sanctuary with beauty and reverence each week. Her music provides the foundation for our hymns and invites the congregation to worship with open hearts. Neil Green, our talented guitarist, brings depth and warmth to our services, blending traditional hymns with rich, acoustic accompaniment that makes worship both familiar and fresh.
Each Sunday’s service includes congregational hymns, choir anthems, and often special music from members of the congregation. Whether it’s a solo, duet, or instrumental piece, these offerings remind us that every gift of music is a gift of grace.
Throughout the year, we also celebrate special musical worship events, including our beloved Christmas and Easter services. These gatherings feature extended music, storytelling, and Scripture, drawing us deeper into the story of God’s love revealed through Jesus Christ. The choir and musicians work prayerfully to make these services moments of both beauty and devotion — times when the music itself becomes a form of prayer.
